We want to give a big Alcorn Central welcome to three new additions to the full-time team of Alcorn Central High School. Meaghan Haynie, Summer Stroup, and Shelby Kirk will be full-time at ACHS after previously serving in similar roles at Alcorn Central Middle School. We are excited to have these three familiar faces working with our students.
Mrs. Haynie will be teaching visual art I, II, and III. She has already done some painting in her classroom and is excited to share so many fun memories and artistic moments with our students. It hasn't been too long that Haynie herself was in halls of Alcorn Central. You can still see her artwork donning the walls of a few classrooms here at ACHS!
Coach Stroup has been a fixture of Alcorn Central for quite some time. As a graduate and daughter of former principal Cecil Stroup, she is no "new" member to the family. Stroup has been the assistant girls basketball coach for the past six years, so she is well acquainted with our culture. She is excited to return the high school to work with our special education population.
Mrs. Kirk is coming to us from ACMS having worked with the self-contained students for the past few years. We are excited to have her coming up the high school to work with special populations students alongside Coach Stroup. Her fun and energetic personality and passion for the kids will be a great asset to our ACHS family.
They aren't new to the Golden Bear family but they are new to our campus, so please make them feel welcomed as they each pledge to make a difference for our students!
