Memphis, TN – The Alcorn Central High School (ACHS) drama and Spanish classes embarked on an educational trip to the Halloran Center for Performing Arts and Education today, where they experienced a captivating theatrical production rich in Latin American culture.
Students attending a production of “De Aqui y de Allá.” The show accompanied the courageous Don Quixote of La Mancha and his trusty sidekick, Sancho Panza, on an adventure full of fun, music, dance, culture and more. It was a journey through Latin America including Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina to learn that all of us carry something with us “From Here and From There.” This experience was performed in English and Spanish.
This cultural immersion provided students with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of Latin American traditions, language, and artistic expression. For both the drama and Spanish students, the event served as an academic enrichment, bridging classroom learning with real-world cultural experiences.
The Halloran Center, known for hosting a variety of international and cultural performances, offered a memorable day of exploration for the ACHS students, fostering a greater appreciation for Latin American heritage.
