Today, the Alcorn Central High School FFA and Math Club joined forces once again to host their highly anticipated annual petting zoo for the students of Alcorn Central Elementary School (ACES). The event was filled with excitement, offering games, photo opportunities, face painting, and the chance for students to interact with live farm animals.
This beloved tradition not only provides entertainment for the younger students but also serves as an opportunity for high school students to earn valuable community service hours. Many ACHS students volunteered at the event, assisting with activities and guiding elementary students through the various stations.
It’s a wonderful way for our high school students to give back to the community while encouraging the younger ones to get involved with these clubs once they reach high school. The event fosters a sense of community and sparks interest in extracurricular activities for students of all ages.
Both the FFA and Math Club look forward to continuing this successful event in the years to come, as it provides both educational value and fun for everyone involved.
